 COURSE INFORMATION


 
Video Advisors is conducting 40-hour certification courses:

 The upcoming training will be conducted by a certified Video Investigator and 
 Video Active instructor with several years of law enforcement video 
 enhancement experience.  

  • Training pricing is $1995.00 per seat. Students are responsible for travel, lodging and meals

  • Computers and the latest Tri Suite software releases will be provided for your use (during the week of training only)

  • Classroom work files and training manuals will be distributed 

  • Training duration is approximately 40 hours

  • Daily written and practical examinations will be implemented, a passing score of 75% must be achieved for certification

  • Attire is casual yet respectable, as a comfortable classroom is always best for learning 

  • There is a group discount of 20% available at the Pepper Tree Inn.  See the bottom of the page for details.  

  • Payment for training is due, in full 45 days prior to the first day of class - No Exceptions!

  • This is a technical course that uses computers.  Students must be familiar with basic Windows functions such as creating folders, opening and saving files, etc.

 Instructional Topics include but are not limited to:

  • General video issues

  • Demultiplexing - "On the fly" and from file

  • Velocity estimation 

  • Stabilization 

  • Reconstruction

  • Deblurring

  • Denoising

  • Rescaling

  • Format conversions

  • Working with digital original files

  • Photogrammetry and calibration (suspect height estimation from video)
